Plaxico Burress...the dumbass that shot himself in the club....is putting his house on the market. Incase you missed it, Burress shot himself and the governor of New York wants to make an example of him, so he is being prosecuted for illegal possesion of a firearm which means he's out of the NFL.

T.I. performed on SNL last night.

T.I.- Whatever U Like

It's Monday......Again!
Well this weekend wasn't all that interesting, but I'll make the most of it.

The AMA's went down this weekend<--WOW..Whatta Bore!-->I like suprises..and they are always so drab and mundane.Beyonce's performance looked as if it were straight off the video. Rihanna was fly as usual, but performing just isn't her strong point->she just looks cute. Chris Brown was shocked shitless that he won over Coldplay. Neyo had a stellar performance. And Kanye wants to be like Elvis<--WTF?? So here are the performances and pics that matter.

Beyonce -Single Ladies

Leona Lewis-->She's Fly!- Better In Time

Kanye West- Heartless

Rihanna- Rehab

And my favorite Honarary Sister Pink

Rapper Corey "C-Murder" Miller, was granted a new trial and judge as well.
According to NOLA.com, Judge Martha Sassone has set a January hearing for Miller's case amidst accusations of preferential treatment for the rapper which resulted in Sassone losing her re-election bid in Gretna.

The in-coming judge, Jefferson Parish School Board member Ellen Kovach, will remove herself from the case when she assumes her position due to her criticism of Sassone's handling of the case.

C-Murder is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 16 year old Steve Thomas, on Jan. 12, 2002, at the now defucnt Platinum Club, in Harvey, LA.(Westbank, NOLA)

He was convicted of the charges in 2003 but after a series of hearings on the case, Sassone granted Miller a new trial.

If he is convicted again he will face a mandatory life sentence.

Miller's retrial was originally scheduled for October 14th but his lawyer Ron Rakosky asked that it be postponed until as soon as possible after the November 4th election. It is now expected to take several months before another jurist is assigned.

In more jail related news, Remy Ma has filed for an appeal. With high, far fetched hopes of being released for Christmas.

Remy was sentenced to 8 years at Rikers, May 13th for shooting Makeda Barnes Joseph, her bestfriend, after a celebration of Remy's birthday at a nightclub in New York's meatpacking district on July 14th, 2008.

According to TMZ.com, Remy's legal team believes her trial was filled with mistakes including, according to court documents, unfairly attaching Remy to gang assaults that had gone down at the nightclub where the shooting occurred. Lawyers are also calling into question the judges instructions to the jury.

Oh and Karrine "Superhead" Steffan's issued her "Bow Wow Blog" which proved to be the epitome of a waste of 6:44, not because she was redundant, but because she was smut.
She drawled on for nearly half the ish about bullshit bloggers being nosey-->*sarcasm* WOW! I'm super offended! A bullshit author has turned her nose up at me. Damn it! Just when I found my niche....*rolling my eyes*

Question: Why make a spectacle of your life, your sex life to be more specific, then become disgusted when people watch?

That's like inviting someone to dinner and saying "You can't eat!".Bish please!

Weekend Scope: TRL, Eddi Griffin, 50 Cent..etc.

Happy Monday-->Trendsetters & Go-Getters! Yea I left ya'll high and dry this week-end..but I was beat! Saturday was the 1st Annual Velocity Awards in Washington DC..and you know I had to get my press position on....And for those who are like "WTF is the Velocity Awards??!"

-The Velocity Awards are sponsored by Velocity Magazine and the award show basically gives recognition to the independant artist (Actors, rappers, singers, producers, on-air personalities...) of the DMV(DC, Maryland, Virginia). If you know me, you know I prefer independent music and artist over mainstream, because there is so much culture and hunger in indie music--> so I was in my element! And the show was hawt and well put together.
I'm behaving..so I won't comment on the hot-mess that is Hottie from F.O.L.

But here are some of the things that caught my eye and had me SMH this weekend.

Beyonce was on SNL w/Justin Timberlake

TRL shot its final episode after 10 successful years. I guess if you have to go, why not go willingly and with a BANG!

Comedian, Wanda Sykes came out of the closet in defense of Prop 8. And I salute her for having a cause. So many times people let their celebrity or other peoples perception of them, stop them from doing something truly meaningful.

Ray J is filming a new reality show...I guess he's trying to find love on television.

Eddie Griffin No Likey Paparazzi

Note to the Paps: Black People...from the hood..don't like ya'll! Give'em they space!I love me some Eddie Griffin..he's the effin truth!

Wowzers-->The Roots Are Retiring from touring and will be the house band on NBC's "Late Night" when Jimmy Fallon takes over for current host Conan O'Brien in March 2009.

50 Cent claps back at the Donald and down plays 808's & Heartbreak

At the recent finale of MTV's TRL (Total Request Live), 50 Cent had some things to say about Kanye West's new album and recent comments made by Donald Trump.

50 told MTV that he's heard "808's & Heartbreak" and he only thinks certain people will like it.

"I heard, like, seven songs," 50 said. "There's a place for it. I think people will enjoy it if you're actually in love or going through something. I think Kanye's going through an interesting point in his career. I don't think the public will forgive [Kanye] for it, but it's interesting. I think it's T-Pain's record, but I'd rather buy it from T-Pain."

50 also went on to talk about recent comments made by Donald Trump saying that 50's "The Money and The Power" show was a direct copy of his hit NBC series "The Apprentice."

"Donald Trump talking about my show and how it's a knockoff of 'The Apprentice'? He's crazy!" 50 said. "That's what happens when you get older — you start to view things differently...In this economy, he may want to go sing 'In Da Club' instead of selling real estate!"

50's new album "Before I Self Destruct" is expected to hit stores in early 2009.

I wouldn't be me if I didn't comment on Fitty...SHUT ERP- I think 808's does have a place and it's not a T-Pain album...It's deeper than that! And if he really heard 7 songs or heard any of T-Pain's albums..like I have..you wouldn't even label it that way.

And that's the Weekend Scope folks...

RECOGNIZE! Hip Hop and Contemporary Portraiture (Musical Performances)
Ongoing Event, Ends 10/26/2008

Since its inception in the 1970s, hip hop has been arguably the most influential and popular musical form in America. The National Portrait Gallery is featuring the work of artists who have explored this phenomenon. David Scheinbaum has been photographing hip hop artists since 2000, both in concert and offstage, including such celebrated groups as Public Enemy, Blackalicious, the Pharcyde, De La Soul and Jurassic-5. Kehinde Wiley, best known for his large, colorful paintings of anonymous young black men, has created portraits of hip hop artists such as LL Cool J and Ice T, each based on a famous European or American painting from the 17th through 19th centuries. Nikki Giovanni has written a poem that has been transcribed onto walls in the exhibition and also interpreted artistically by artist Shinique Smith. Tim Conlon and Dave Hupp, two Washington, D.C.–based graffiti artists, created four portrait murals that are installed in a hallway that connects the galleries. Jefferson Pinder created three video self-portraits that are also included in the installation.
